Who are we?

Bright Hill Bees, LLC was established in 2020 as a Covid-19 project when we were stuck at home. Owner David Illig has a background in agriculture. He helped with the family business, Bright Hill Farms, growing avocados and raising pigs in California. Joining David in this venture is his partner, Lisa McCullough. Lisa has background in education and athletic administration. While David does the bulk of the apiary management, Lisa has taken on the marketing and product development side of the business, but both contribute to all aspects of the business from hive management, queen bee rearing, harvesting honey to bottling, marketing and deciding what products to produce.
